A Stroll Down Penny Lane w/ American Mule

Did you know real copper pennies dated 1982 and earlier are actually worth more than newer pennies?  This is because in 1982, The Mint started producing a new variety. The metal composition changed from a more expensive 95% copper penny to a cheaper 97.5% zinc composite penny only plated with copper that is now presently being produced. Looking at them side by side and not knowing this cool fact about real copper pennies, the only difference is the weight of the coin and the size of the dates.

A Wild Southwest of Copper & Gold

The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine is, according to legend, a rich gold mine hidden in the southwestern United States. The location is generally believed to be in the Superstition Mountains, east of Phoenix, Arizona.  At American Mule, we cannot say we found the "gold mine" but we do have rad copper mugs -A metal that put our Copper State on the map.
